Latest Updates from Our Project:

X Promotion of two local gaming Kickstarter projects
about 7 years ago – Mon, Mar 06, 2017 at 11:38:02 PM

Hi guys,

I got loads of requests to cross promote during our campaign, largely from unrelated products which had nothing to do with gaming. I would never spam you with random products however there are a small band of designers in Scotland local to us who have taken the plunge and launched their first campaigns on Kickstarter. I think they are pretty fine ideas and thought some of you may appreciate checking them out:

1)   ORE-SOME - a strategy game for friends and families. This was launched by a fellow Wyvern's Lair finalist whom I met last year in the Lair and then found out she lived 1 mile away - how's that for a small world?

The Creator has designed the game to allow players to dash and bash their way mischievously around a Wild West mine grabbing ore, making money and getting in each other's way. Your playing piece is an actual cart that you fill with ore blocks and have to rush over to hand in before other players get in your way, collapse the mine or make you drop your ore. ORE-SOME's art has been designed to feel like a Saturday morning cartoon - with diverse and positive characters from all walks of life (and a dog that rides around in your cart), I am looking forward to playing this with my eldest daughter!

2) Compact Solid Oak D&D Dice Box.

This is from a friend I know via archery (you guys can take it from me the archery is well researched in Legends) who has two grown up kids that are Gamers.  The Creator has a deep love of wood work and came up with a cool idea for making high quality dice storage boxes for Gamers.  I am already the proud owner of an Inspiring Games one, the magnets click together with a force that will surprise you.  Just a nice, quality way to store your dice really.

If either of these campaigns floats your boat I know they will delighted for any backing they can receive.

In the meantime I will get back to it, we are working away on your feedback and hope to share some more art in the near future.

Best wishes to you all.

Choose your Hero results
about 7 years ago – Fri, Mar 03, 2017 at 11:09:21 PM

As per the last update the results of the poll are in.

Image 1 - 363 votes (31.2%)

Image 2 - 378 votes (32.5%)

Image 3 - 421 votes (36.2%)

So the winner is image 3!

There have been a few comments that as a performer she should have a musical instrument, please remember though that this Occupation path also leads to talents that use acrobatics hence the balance pole.

However we want to accommodate your wishes to the best that we can, so we will be giving a musical instrument to the male performer hero image.

There have been calls for a cat, we are working on that to see what we can do for you and will keep you posted.

We hope you guys had some fun getting involved with the character design process, we certainly loved seeing the comments come in.

We will come back to you with the finished article in due course.

In the meantime best wishes to you all.

Cheers

Final Backer Achievement - Vote for the look of your Hero
about 7 years ago – Fri, Feb 24, 2017 at 11:31:40 PM

Hi guys,

we try really hard to deliver on everything we say we will.  With that in mind here's something fun for the weekend.

The final Backer Achievement was reaching 750 Facebook Likes on our Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/www.inspiringgames

This was a big deal for us, your support helped improved our reach on social media and we are very grateful for it.

With that in mind we want to do something a bit special and let you influence the look of one of the Occupation cards.

Our artist has created three sketches of the Female Performer which we have attached on the link below. Using that form we would like you to vote on which sketch you wish to see developed into the final Female Performer illustration, which will be the same quality as the other Occupations we recently shared.

The Performer will have a talent path that will let her excel at musical, vocal and physical abilities (acrobatics and the like).

We hope this gives you a bit of fun and as ever are truly grateful for your support.

Best wishes to you all.

Art update - Heroes
about 7 years ago – Wed, Feb 08, 2017 at 11:55:39 PM

Hey guys,

we said in the last art update that we were working on the heroes and would share more with you when we were in a position to do so.

First up is the Male Farmhand from the Caves Set:

Followed by the Female Forgehand from the Caves Set:

.

Then we add some charm with the Male Evicted Noble from the Caves Set:

Finally we thought we'd give you a sneak peek of the Sewers Set, here is the Male Labourer:

.

Hopefully you can see that we are trying to deliver that grim and gritty look that this game is all about.  These characters are (at Novice Rank) reluctant heroes who have been tasked with helping their people.  The characters are poor and hungry, having only their talents and what they could quickly grab before they head off into the Caves or Sewers on their quest.

We hope you like the direction we have taken the Heroes in.

As ever we are very grateful for your support.

Best wishes to you all from the Inspiring Games team.

January Art update Video
over 7 years ago – Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 12:00:38 AM

Hey guys,

we have had a creative day and wanted to show you some of the latest art that has come in for Legends. It seemed appropriate to introduce the art using the suitably "epic" (ahem) verse one sees on a typical gaming evening.

Finally please note, and you have all been asking about it, the BackerKit survey will go live shortly.

Cheers
